Wendy Robinson Bio

Born on August 17, 1960 Wendy Jill (Oestricher) Robinson was raised in Queens, New York. Her mother, a school nurse, and father, a butcher, instilled in Wendy the confidence to dream big dreams. Early on in life, Wendy's passions for music and fashion were self-evident. By her teen years ,she was designing most of her clothes and singing lead in her church choir. A natural born leader, Wendy started the first gospel choir at August Martin High School in Jamaica, NY. Two of her classmates were the legendary rap music mogul Russell Sim mons and smooth jazz great Naji. After graduating high school Wendy attended the Fashion Institute of Technol ogy in N.Y.C., studying for a degree in pattern making and design. Wendy entered the N.Y.C. high fashion in dustry quickly advancing her way up to a very coveted top showroom sales position. Having an entrepreneurial spirit, Wendy spearheaded her own sideline fashion clothing business (Wenlonda's) from her Long Island residence. Her retailing experience led her to manage the first Ashley Stewart ladies fashion store in the country. Wendy went on to manage other fashion retail outlets including Lane Bryant, The A venue and Plymouth.

Having fully explored her passion for fashion, Wendy entered the music industry working for MCA Re cords, UPTOWN Records and its affiliated labels. She often jokes about the fact Hip Hop mogul P. Diddy, who was an intern at the time, used to get her coffee. Always looking for higher heights and deeper depths, Wendy accepted a new position that national rental car service AVIS had offered her. Avis had newly created the posi tion of Revenue Manager, and there were only 15 positions of its kind in the entire chain. Wendy was given the task of heading up two of the company's busiest sites, Kennedy and LaGuardia airports. Wendy managed to stay in the top five rankings of the national revenue managers, achieving #1 status several times. Her success led her to a transfer to Avis's brand new facility in Virginia Beach, VA in 1996. After a brief stint, Wendy decided to give it all up for what has proven to be her greatest and most rewarding challenge of her life MOTHERHOOD. In following years Wendy gave birth to three beautiful children, Kalif (now 15), Aaliyah (13), and Keenan (11)

Wendy now focuses all her time, experience and energy in taking care of her husband Producer Kenny Robinson, her three children and managing all of the business affairs of KR MUSIC STUDIO.
